Lebron James signs a four-year, $153 million-dollars deal with the LA Lakers

When the announcement that Lebron James would be signing with the Los Angeles Lakers on July 1st it still felt quite surreal for basketball fans throughout America. However, after today it is now official, Lebron is an LA Laker. When Klutch Sports Group first made the announcement across its various social media channels and platforms many tuned in to hear Mr James, sitting with his agent Rich Paul, joined by the Laker’s general manager Rob Pelinka. Between the three men sat a piece of paper with Jame’s freshly printed new contract. The announcement was followed by tweets from Klutch Sports Group which immediately blew up all over social media.

That’s Right, A $153-million Deal

James signed a four-year contract which is to pay $153 million over the duration of his tenor at the Lakers. This is huge and will see Lebron join what is one of the most famous and recognised franchises in the game of basketball. The deal was further sweetened when the Laker’s president of basketball operations, basketball Hall of Famer Magic Johnson issued a statement exclaiming his joy and elation about the signing of James. He reiterated how the signing of James was a great day for the Lakers and its fans across the globe. Stating that Lebron is special and proclaiming him to be the best player in the world.

Lakers Making All The Right Moves

Over and above signing arguably the best basketball in the world, the Lakers’ Organisation seems to have their eye on new and young talent too. This upcoming season the Lakers team will be filled with young blood, including the likes of Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma. Other players include Caldwell-Pope who re-signed with the Lakers for a one-year deal. This injection of young talent as well as signing a veteran like James could see the Lakers performing well and re-instating themselves as one of the best in the leagues’ history.
